Tbh it’s tricky. Because the hostility so quickly becomes its inverse, condescension. No one is cruel, but also no one talks to you or trusts you with any serious assignment. Then when you try to hold them accountable for anything later on, they treat you like their personal biological child betrayed them. Because they never saw you as an actual colleague.
