What bothers me most is the doublespeak.
I have been told so many times that doing xyz is “such a great opportunity.”
Um how?
How is working substantially above my pay grade at a job with no opportunities for advancement or bonuses going to benefit me?
Where all I get for overworking myself is a migraine and a so-so evaluation from a supervisor who is pretty obviously threatened by me?
Why do anything at all?
