Thanks for reading my work. It sounds like your friend is very brave. I would suggest you refer to them by terms other than “morbidly obese” unless those are the words they use to describe themselves, because that is medical terminology used to stigmatize.
I think it’s actually really sad to describe me, at 33 with a budding artistic career and two Masters degrees, as being “in the same boat” as a 61-year-old man who’s close friends with someone half his age. Maybe that’s just me.
