The conservatorship literally keeps Britney as a child with a child’s lack of rights.

This entire situation also points to just how vulnerable children are at the hands of their parents. Most of us are lucky enough to grow out of this situation. But the only thing that eventually saves children from abusive parents is adulthood.. and as Britney’s example demonstrates, not even that escape is a guarantee.
