The entire idea of a "victim mentality" is such nonsense. It's such a misapplication of psychology to justify demeaning people who have less than you. It turns out when people have been victimized and/or oppressed, they respond in predictable ways. Condemning them for it helps no one--but it sure makes people passing judgment FEEL they are being 'helpful.'!
