The problem isn’t competition.
The problem is the inequitable rules that define that competition.
You know what that is. You know when you compete openly with white men, they can accuse you of being “violent” or “aggressive” and be shut down. You know they gang up on you and make sure one of them wins.
That happens to every marginalized group. Those of us with many marginalized identities experience the harm in multiple ways.
That’s not Darwinian. It’s oppression.
It’s one thing to compete. It’s another to have to compete without anyone knowing you’re competing.
