There is an endless list of fat people who have tried low-calorie diets, with predictable results. They lose a small amount of weight at first, about 7–10 pounds, then plateau. When their lifestyle does not change, as in their stress level, relationship with their trauma, and activity level and variety, their weight will not change.
The idea that fat people consume dramatically more calories than anyone else is a stereotype, not a fact.
