In Jewish culture, most white men are golden boys. They’re golden boys until proven otherwise. The rest of us only exist in their world.
My experience is that abusive people become physically violent when they feel you are pushing their control over their environment. They prefer to rely on manipulation and emotional abuse so no one can see the traces, but if you start feeling confident and pushing their dominance, they’ll act out the violence physically.
