This essay made me so sad. I can see this is so true. I can also see how my decision to back away from dudes who behaved this way made them totally panic and act destructively towards me. They were always prepped to unleash that destructive energy. They never could just relax and trust me and be vulnerable with me, because they thought their mistakes would make me leave.
