This is such a good point. Why do we give certain people endless chances, no matter how badly they mess up, irritate us, or cue us that things are not ok?

My narc really pissed me off by scoffing and pouting because he felt even the slightest bit rejected. Instead of realizing that I didn't want to deal with that behavior, I blamed myself for making him feel 'bad.'
