This post is actually really problematic. There are a lot of adolescent girls on Instagram who are looking at these photos thinking they are real, hating their bodies and starving themselves to look like that. There are adolescent boys thinking female bodies do or should look that way and that’s what they should be attracted to.
My problem with filters is not whether adult women look at these photos and feel insecure for a minute.
It’s whether the ten year old down the street looks at these photos and skips meals for the next five days.
