Women spend far too much time terrified of being mistreated or abused by men around us. At work, I have experienced being hugged at an interview (my former employer did not hug the male applicant, needless to say), being hugged without permission by my boss, endless jokes about bestiality at required work meetings, a professor who grabbed my knee twice in class, etc and that is only the obvious moments of physical harassment, not the unending destructive suggestion that I am lazy, incompetent, vain, a bitch.

Treating women this way never seems to undermine a man’s credibility, does it?
