Yes, this. I've had agonizing periods, pelvic pain, pressure above my pelvic bone, internal swelling and itchiness around my pelvic bone, for years now. I've spoken to three separate gynecologists about it. Most say that it's normal, maybe it's pelvic floor weakness, probably nothing etc. And since I have severe trauma and penetration with a speculum is agonizing for me, I have chosen not to pursue a medical diagnosis....but it is ridiculous that given modern medicine, the only form of diagnosis for most women's health issues is penetration with giant medical instruments, or else exploratory surgery. And it is equally absurd that I am not taken seriously as a human being capable of identifying and naming my own pain.
