You’re not personally qualified to pass that judgment or set that line though.
Because what I see in real life, and presumably what you see, is not murderers or rapists blaming their acts on their childhoods.
What I see in real life is disabled people requesting accommodations and being told we’re too much of an inconvenience to live.
What I see are autistic people having predictable responses to overwhelm and being treated with far more disgust than most communities treat coercive sexual predators.
What I see is traumatized people having meltdowns or panic attacks or just wanting to talk about our traumas and being treated like we are in fact literally setting people on fire.
You don’t get to turn your back on members of your community because the sight of our wounds makes you uncomfortable.
If seeing someone literally on fire makes you walk away because you feel uncomfortable, I just think that makes you kind of a trash human being.
Not saying that’s what you’re saying.
